Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is the fourth studio album by French indie pop band Phoenix, released 25th of May 2009 by V2 Records. It was produced by Phoenix themselves and Philippe Zdar (mixing and drums on "Fences"). While the band had already been enjoying a moderate underground following, this was the start of their exposure to the mainstream. The album spawned 3 successful singles: "1901", "Lisztomania" and "Lasso". The album won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album on 31 January 2010. It is Phoenix's most successful release to date.
