This was so refreshing the first time I listened to it, even today ...6 years later still surprises me, I love this album.

I get what you mean Taciana. Just listen Pink Floyd's "Breathe" and then check "Weight of Love". Same chords and tempo :-) Wonderful songs both of them!

Took me almost 2 fucking years to get in the mood of this record. Now I love it.

A more produce sound than their previous albums. Some will like this, especially fans that came onboard from El Camino, but it's moved away from the blues rock/garage sound I first loved about these guys. All in all they still know how to make unique music and as always I'm keen for more Black Keys. Keep it rocking!

What's up with the 30 second duration shown for most of these tracks? Should be fixed. Great album by the way!

It's fun to listen to, but it's probably their least original effort which prevents it from being the #1 AOTY imo.

Why is it that everyone slams an artist for changing style but also complain when an artist never changes their sound? People piss me off. [4]

@ricardoa7 You are putting words into my mouth. I didn't write that this album is bad, I wanted to follow up on the previous shouts about changing style and to express my opinion about not liking where TBK's one is going. This album is far from bad, there is at least 5 very good songs like Weight of Love, In Our Prime, Waiting on Words, etc. but other songs like Fever that carry indie kind of sound are just bad, they all sound the same and there's no artistic merit, it sounds like it is made to be sold (in my opinion(and there's nothing bad with having a different opinion)). And, I'm really sorry if I offended you somehow it wasn't my intention.

@derpovic You don't understand one simple thing: what you say is not an absolute truth. I think Turn Blue is a great, amazing album, best of 2014 till now for me. It's different from their previous stufff, but it's not even close to worse. I love this album and till now, The Black Keys always delivered great music. So, if you don't like it, ok. Just don't try to sell (or give away) your opinion as it is an absolute truth.

"Why is it that everyone slams an artist for changing style but also complain when an artist never changes their sound? People piss me off." You people don't understand one simple thing; It's ok to change style but to be better than before like they did with Brothers where they blended their raw style from previous albums with new DangerMouse production but this album is 80% indie shit that sales easily. I just hope they will get back on track.
